Pakistan Announced t20 squads for Ireland and England

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced a 18-member squad for the series against Ireland and England before the T20 World Cup which West Indies and United States of America are going to host this year. PCB has clarified that the final squad for the T20 World Cup will be announced after the series.

Squad:

Babar Azam (captain), Abrar Ahmed, Azam Khan (WK), Fakhar Zaman, Haris Rauf, Hasan Ali, Iftikhar Ahmed, Imad Wasim, Mohammad Abbas Afridi, Mohammad Amir, Mohammad Rizwan (WK), Muhammad Irfan Khan, Naseem Shah, Saim Ayub, Salman Ali Agha, Shadab Khan, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Usman Khan (WK)

Babar Azam will, once again, be leading the green team. Imad Wasim and Muhammad Amir continue to be a part of playing XI despite underperforming in the previous New Zealand home series. Haris Rauf and Hasan Ali make a return to the team while Muhammad Haris, Wasim Junior, and Zaman Khan failed to impress the selectors.

Series is going to begin from 10th of May. Although fans are showing concerns over the selection of Hasan Ali (not performing since years), Haris Rauf (Injured), and Muhammad Amir (Involved in fixing multiple times). Babar Azam in today’s Press Conference at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore clarified that their selection was unbiased and only deserving players will be part of the World Cup squad.

T20 World Cup is going to begin this year where USA is hosting an ICC event for the first time. Pakistan chocked in the final against England last time.
