Fire Broke Out at Lahore Airport affecting flight operations

As reported by Pakistan Today, the Allama Iqbal International Airport caught fire today leading to delay in many flight operations.

According to the reports, the main cause of the fire was a short circuit in the ceiling of the immigration counter. Passengers were evacuated from the area and immigration operation was shifted to the domestic flights area temporarily. Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) assured that international flights (importantly Hajj flights) will shortly be continued in the domestic area. No casualty has been reported so for.

A video also got viral showing a dense smoke coming out from the airport. This incident took place in Thursday Morning at 5 AM. Later, a notification was issued confirming that the Rescue team has successfully taken control over the fire and furthermore ceiling has been dispatched as well. Soon airport will be handling all sort of operations.
